Hey Krin Just wanted to set this here as I accepted the weekly task yesterday and found 8 talismans, and I found one today as well yet they are not appearing on the task itself. they were up there yesterday so just trying to find out whats going on as there was no update about it

Update: I see we have to use them for mending now for them to count, Could you explain why? I guess I'm just not seeing the function of using them to mend as the only way to add them to the task. I understand trying to limit gold overload, but even with the 60 minute limit for minding its a task that's only done once a week its just an inconvenience for players who already have the items. Also since my party is almost always at full health mending just seems like a waste.

Originally, you had to turn them in.

Instead, it was changed to where you use them so you at least can get a benefit from it. I then changed how Mending worked a bit so that there was not only a way to use them at will, but also somewhat of a benefit other than restoring Health.

There are other similar tasks for the buildings - such as the now Weekly Task for the Trading Post. So it came down to functionality for those Tasks. I did not want each one of those Tasks just requiring players to essentially throw away their materials for nothing other than simply completing the Task.

I guess I was just concerned, as normally I will gather all items for a task first and then complete the task, but with the way this works I can't really do that as I can only turn in 3 every hour so that 6 hours of just waiting to complete the task. With the trading post its not as bad because there is no wait.

I guess my concern is more for players who may earn the items for the task over the week but are constricted with the time limit if at 7 pm site time they decide to complete it there is no way they can complete the task even if they have all the necessary items.

They actually still can. =)

Once accepted, you keep the Task until you Complete or Abandon it. If you Complete it and a different Task is now the 'active' Task, you can then pick up the new Task.

okay so as long as we accept the task before the week is out we have the chance to complete it? XD Sorry Just trying to get this figured out.

Yep. And when a new one becomes the active one, you will have the option of abandoning the one you're on or keeping it indefinitely.

If you keep it and then eventually complete it and the 'new' active one is a different task, you will then be able to accept the new one immediately after.

In essence - you can roll over weekly tasks through two weeks or daily tasks through two days.

Okay That's helpful ^.^ much better than what I was Originally assuming
