Summary of the Story:
War has broken out between the Sky, Earth, and Water Sylesties. Every day, the three sides battle, trying to win the fight between the Sylesti
Nyx, Zolnixi of the Earth Sylesties, is the head of the assassin team. One mission, however, sends her life, and her side, into jeopardy. But, an unexpected rescuer takes her back to her side, and on the way reveals important information about the battle. Nyx doesn't know whether to go back to her side and make the war last longer, or trust this mysterious creature and help an unknown side of the war.

Chapter 1
Nyx ducked under the cover of trees to hide from incoming attacks. She peeked out and sighted the Aurleons and Nytekries swooping above, getting ready to fire the next wave. A volley of fireballs launched up near her, and the Sky Sylesties frantically swerved to avoid the flames, but with no avail. A fiery golden Aurleon flew up over them and called out. The Aurleons regained their strength and fired back once again, and the golden one itself fired an exceptionally large ball of fire down toward the ground, then flew back up.

Now's my chance, Nyx thought. She silently crept in the darkness until she was just about under that golden Aurleon. She saved up her Mana just for this moment. "Now...Siphon!" She willed the strong attack and felt her Mana being drained, and dark energy began to appear and gather. With a howl, she sent the swirling darkness up right at the golden one. The Aurleon noticed at the last second, and therefore could not dodge. Siphon struck it critical, and it faltered, almost falling out of the sky.

Nyx could see the Drained ability affecting the golden one, and felt herself strengthened by her own Augmented ability. The Aurleon reared up and rained down fireballs at where she was standing, but she'd already sprinted away. Nyx aimed an easy Force at it, and it hit critical. The aurleon squawked and fell down from the sky, landing down on the grown with a thump, now unconscious.

Nyx ran to the place it fell, but hundreds of Aurleons blocked her way, wanting to avenge their leader. Suddenly, a gray lupora lashed out and slashed the front Aurleons. More Earth Sylesties began to pour out from around the trees, forcing the Sky Sylesties to retreat. They quickly flew away, and Nyx prevented any of them to take the leader back.

Finally, when all the Sky Sylesties had dispersed, a large Draeyl, Blaze, stepped forward and addressed Nyx. "Well done, Nyx. You did exceptionally in assassinating Wrath, even if it's in battle." He motioned to a few Vulnyxs. "Take him to the base for questioning, but do not let him be aware of where he is." The Vulnyxs nodded and dragged Wrath away.

Blaze turned back to Nyx. "Go back to Aryth's Spire and meet me at the Forgotten Tomb in 1 hour with Wrath. We will question him there. After that, you will have more important missions. Understood?"

Nyx nodded. "Understood."

"Good." Blaze turned around and began to assign more orders to the other Earth Sylesties. Nyx breathed out a sigh of relief, but she knew it wasn't over yet. She started towards Aryth's Spire floating just a few miles away. The other Earth Sylesties spread out over the Umbra Forest, looking for other Sky or Water Sylesties.

A few minutes later, Nyx ran up the stairs into the Spire. She checked her supplies. 2 poison bottles empty, 1 healing potion used. She passed multiple other sylesties organizing, checking, training, even some eating, in the Spire. She went inside one of the potion rooms, put her empty bottles to the corner and replaced them with new ones. Then she went to the training room.

"So. The night assassin is back." A voice came from the end of the training room. Everything quieted, waiting for Nyx to speak.

"Yes." Her voice rang out. "I have defeated Wrath. Vasi, Onea, and Monn are currently in charge of him."

Murmurs rippled throughout the room. The sylesties looked at Nyx in awe at her proclaim.

"I am currently in need of a training opponent." Nyx said again. "Bronkus, would you like to fight?"

The sylesti who had spoken first came out. He shook his brown fur and smirked at Nyx. "Well, why not?"
