I've been having trouble making money. The only way I've figured out how to make money at a decent pace is to sell armor pieces I get from fights, but it's a very slow process. Any ideas?

There is a guide here to money making, and a guide to how to do missions here.
Especially for newer people, Missions are generally considered to be the best way to make gold.

Missions. And doing the quests in Umbra forest, so that you can unlock the lvl 45 and lv 50 missions there...
