Maple Valley Ranch

Welcome to Maple Valley Ranch! Here at MVR, we offer the best of the best - a beautiful stables with the finest horses and riders located in a stunning valley surrounded by a maple forest perfect for hacks. MVR is renowned for the barn's owner, who was a legend in the show circuit until she retired. Riders at Maple Valley Ranch continue to impress with their stunning horses and skills.
Of course, boarding at such a prestigious stables comes with heavy expectations that the young riders rarely meet. Rather than being cold and professional as would be expected from a famous showing stables, these young equestrians are generally warm and friendly. They're really just dorks with a lot of money and oftentimes questionable talent.
Maple Valley Ranch has a distinct layout featuring 12 large stalls, a tack room and two wash stalls.

Barn Rules (CAN be broken):

-Don't take your horse out after nightfall
-Always clean up after yourself
-Do not go on hacks alone
- Stay on the paths when on hacks
Roleplay Rules (CANNOT be broken):
(Breaking one of these rules earns you a strike. Get three strikes and you will be kicked from the roleplay.)
-Post more than a couple sentences at a time. I would say at least 3 or 4 meaningful ones.
-I would prefer if you used realistic images rather than animated or anime ones since the horses will probably end up realistic as well. I'll still accept anime but please try to keep it realistic.
-Avoid having Mary Sue characters
-No powerplaying
-No godmodding. You will not always get perfect results in showing or otherwise.
-Tell me if you want to leave the roleplay before leaving please!
-Minor injury to other riders and their horses is allowed, but ask for permission before doing anything more than a scrape or bruise
-A rider cannot directly communicate with their horse, but horses may converse between themselves.
-Your horse must either be a mare or a gelding. Stallions are too hard to handle and I feel like they would only cause problems in the roleplay.
Horse Creation Guidelines (To prevent op horses):
Must follow:
- For a horse to have a skill of 6/10, they must be at least 4 years old.
- For a horse to have a skill of 8/10, they must be at least 6 years old.
- A horse can only be 6/10 or higher in one skill and have a maximum of 3 skills overall. If a horse is 10 years or older, they may have 2 skills at a high level.
Would really prefer you follow:
- Try to pick a good discipline for your breed of horse. For example, mustangs are much better at some western sports than show jumping, since they're pretty bulky while warmbloods or thoroughbreds will do much better at jumping since they're tall and long-legged.
- Make sure your tack is suitable for your horse and its discipline.

Backstory: Midnight was born in a stable that was very competitive. If you didn't get first place in a competition the rider and the horse was "punished." When Midnight was 5 years old a New Rider came in. She was looking for her first horse. A few other horses were for sale so Midnight thought he had no chance. When she came over to him she held out her hand. Midnight sniffed her hand and then rubbed her arm with his head. He felt her pet him then walk off. Later she came back and took him outside to the trailer. Then he knew they'd be together forever.
