at the beginning when i started sylestia i found a egg while exploring (it was in the tutorial) and i was wondering if you find eggs while exploring all the time or is that a one time thing? im curious

it's an event that happens randomly- I'd say it's maybe uncommon, but not necessarily rare? (I'm not one to talk of the exact probablilities, I ignore every event in the first two regions where it could potentially be an egg)

I'm just wondering, how do you hatch an egg?

Eggs on sylestia have a 72 hour hatching timer, which can be viewed on their pet page in the genetics section as a bar that says ??/72 to show completion.
For bred eggs, it starts at 0, for eggs found while exploring, it can be just about any time remaining.

Time remaining is decreased by an hour for every five correct nurtures an egg gets (hatchlings get +1 to their lowest stat for every 5 correct)

When an eggling hits 72/72, an egg icon will appear in the top right of their hatchery slot to indicate this.
If you leave it alone for like. two days. it'll hatch on its own, but the better idea is to go to its pet page.
Going to the pet page of a sylesti that is waiting to hatch will bring up a popup with the options of "Help it Hatch" (bonus of +20 HP), "Let it hatch on its own" (+1 to a random stat out of Str/Int/Dex/Agi), and "Use Philter" (you select a philter in the dropdown menu of the ones you have in your inventory to use, then click the button)
