What is an easy way to level up pets?

Easiest way is to send them on missions (put all their level up points to one stat, and use them for that mission).

Else, it'll be using experience orbs (not cheap), or grinding aka fighting.

One thing I did to level up a pet quick was to put a low level pet in a party that is far higher.

For example if you have pets that that are, say, level 50+ and you have a pet that is level 0 then you can make a party where you put in two high level pets and one 0 level and go to some areas where the enemies can be beaten in one or two hits by your high level pets.
This way your level 0 pet can gain levels really quick.

I am doing this right now and it works really well because I put a level 5 pet in a party with level 50 and 60 pets and went to places like Aryths Spire and my low level pet gained many levels in a short time.

Sorry, I'm barging into this post, but could you explain the level up points to me? You can use the points earned on Missions? I thought that they just randomly dispersed to the stats on my stylesti, lol :)

You are correct, level up points is fixed increase across all stats automatically.

So proficiency points is the only way to customise your pets stats. So for missions, you choose a proficiency tree that has the stat you want, and add all the points you get to that stat. And probably need to throw on some equipment to boost that stat too.

Oh! Okay, phew. I thought my sylesti just has a stash of unused points somewhere that was collecting dust, lol!
