For some reason when I type on here from my phone and computer, my quotations and apostrophes wont show up. Ive tried adding them after I posted them through editing, but I have no idea whats going on. Im not sure how many have had this problem, but I do know of one other person for sure from my friend telling me about them. I guess this will kind of test to see if itll happen again as well, since Ive used apostrophes althroughout, but Id appreciate it if you could look into this problem. Sometimes I have been able to insert apostrophes, but my quotes have never shown up.

I know that there are issues using quotation marks in subjects, but they should work just fine in the messages.

For example:

"Test"

'Test'


Looking in the database for your message, your submission is doing something weird. It's being submitted as Carriage Return and Line Feed. I have never seen such an issue before.


Are you able to copy my quotation marks/apostrophes and paste them into a reply and see if they go through?

Okay it worked that time, copying and pasting from yours. Maybe its the kind of marks? Like mine look different from yours.

Must be some sort of something special with your device/browser/operating system where it's replacing the standard quote and apostrophe marks with something unique.

But its also doing it on my computer. Which is by a completely different company. Is it possible it has something to do with my profile itself?

Im starting to think thats the case because my apostrophe looks like yours when Im typing outside of the site.

There isn't anything coded into Sylestia that would affect it. That type of stuff is inputted by your computer and web browser.

Have you tried a different browser or tried running your current browser without any addons?

Do you use like a special keyboard or typing interface or anything?

Im not sure what you mean by different browser. Like instead of Explorer, Google Chrome? Or something along the lines? I dont really have access to any others if thats the case.

I dont use a special keyboard, but like I said, my apostrophes and quotations only look different on here. Everywhere else, they look like yours.
