Edit: Krin gave an answer that makes a lot more sense; to simplify it since it did confuse a few people...

The stats in orange on a pet's profile page gives percentages relative to an enemy of the same level as opposed to being a static, unchanging percentage in every situation. A level 60's stats are relative to a level 60 enemy; a level 65's stats are relative to a level 65 enemy.

This is Amaterasu, my Ny'vene shadow tank. This is Oriental Bloom, my Aeridini shadow tank. Both are specced in Shadow with 3 points in agility. Amaterasu has been leveled to 63; Oriental Bloom is still at 60. I gave both of them a full set of Reaver gear from The Lost Grove and noticed something strange. These are their current stats, side-by-side.

At first glance it may look like Amaterasu is superior because of the differences; Oriential Bloom has equal or less in each stat.

Health: -165
Mana: equal
Magical Damage: -2 damage

Str: -3
Int -3
Dex -3
Agil -77

BUT, the way those stats effect the pet are completely different.

Physical Mitigation: +25.26%
Magical Mitigation: +26.35%
Critical Hit: +6.06%
Avoidance Chance: +13.19%
Quickness Rating: -6% - the ONLY one that drops lower.

Oriental Bloom, 3 levels lower, is the superior combatant. She would take less damage, have better crit and avoidance, and it only costs me 165 health, 2 damage, and 6% quickness in difference. A minuscule sacrifice when compared to the benefits.

I would be better off having a team that stops learning at level 60, and I don't think that's the intention.

Edit: Amaterasu is now level 64, but the image is still from 63

Modifiers are done based on equal level opponent. A lvl 60's modifiers would be significantly lower against a lvl 65 opponent.

Because of the new stuffs for 61-75, modifiers hit a bit of a curve I think at 61, 71, and 75? Or something like that.

Thanks for the quick answer, Krin! That makes a lot more sense.
