Hello! I was wondering if I had the 'correct' team. I know there isn't an actual specific way to build one (a team), but I want to become stronger in that area anyway. This is my current team:

Vivian (Tab 1; the first pet, which is a nixi): she's in the middle position, with the earth element.

Leafa (Tab 1; the green nixi): he's in the top position, with the light element.

Apollo (Tab 1: stall 21, the blue Faelora): he's in the bottom position with the water element.

So, I just wanted to see if I am doing something wrong. Like, should I change their proficiencies, change their positions, ect.

Also, ask any questions. I feel like I didn't make this clear enough, so if it's confusing, you can ask questions. (I bet you could tell, but I don't exactly know how to link towards my pets. Ha. Oops)

Thank you for your help! ~Kitti xX

usually its whatever works best for you, but i think i've seen this kind often enough: Shadow, Light, Fire/Wind. Shadow to deal much damage and also heal itself, Light to heal the whole party, and Fire/Wind to deal lots damage. sometimes Wind would be better, since it only focuses on one target, which is ideal when fighting bosses. but its always whatever works best for you

FYI, you link pets by copy and pasting their link (eg, https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=3764698), then selecting the url and clicking the url button if done correctly, the link should be in a blue font

Hi Kitti!

Your earth/water/light team is a solid defensive team. :) It means your battles will be slower, but you will have more health. However, you might find switching the water pet back and forth to air when you need it goes much faster!

Also, unless you really like them for sentimental reasons or looks, Apollo and Leafa are two of your weaker pets. Asuna and Kirito (for example) make slightly stronger battle pets. But even if they are slightly weaker, I'd pick three of your favorite pets to be your battle team (because later in the game using the same team for a long time makes them much stronger!)

Remember to use all 3 proficiencies at level 60! (and all 4 at 65!)

There are two much bigger issues, though, with your team that makes battling harder.

1) Quality of gear. What you have is very weak. Go on the broker and fit your three team pets with new lost grove gear. This shouldn't cost too much.

2) Don't mix types of gear! (except really advanced players) The gear you currently have works against each other, and makes battling more difficult.

I recommend:

All lost grove warden gear for central earth pet.
All pyromancer gear for light pet.
All stormcaller gear for water/air pet. (switching these two elements with the same gear is fine)

As you mentioned Kitti, there are so many different ways to set up a team! This is just the setup that I find easiest/most forgiving to use, which is why I recommend it. :) It is quite balanced, and the same team can be used in a number of situations. It is also siutable to a variety of different playing styles.

More advanced players might choose more specialised/optimised teams, but these are trickier to use effectively.
