I am having trouble getting past the three cave trolls? I understand that they make one pet in your party unconscious, and all my pets have armor as high as their level, but I also cannot level up my Nixi Willow Wind (Level 43). I go to defeat other things so I can level her up, but they only give me 1 experience and its really annoying. Any advice would be highly appreciated!

Edit: Also, I couldn't find a Level 40 relic for Willow Wind so I kept it as a Level 35 relic

It is certain and impossible to prevent them ko-ing one of your party, but i believe you could cheese the system by switching party leaders. If you cannot avoid the fight and will not buy a revival potion, you must toughen up your party. A good place to start would be to put gear on https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=3571172 and https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=3611194 . You can also probably find superior gear in broker, which has some features soley for that. It is worth noting that as a rule of thumb- green lv.30 < blue lv. 25 < purple lv.20 < orange lv. 10 < red lv.1 . This might be overstating it, but the point stands, and it's not off by too much: High quality makes more of a difference than high level. For half of a dramatic example, compare your willow wind's bracelets of the disciple. Despite both having the same level, the green one offers roughly half the stats.

In addition, your pets could do with some specialized gear. If earth's your tank, it would prefer to recieve assassin gear, followed by myrmidion, disciple, and ravager, in that order. If water's not your tank, it probably wants myrmidion or ravager first, followed by assassin, followed by disciple, on your priorities list. If it is your tank, substitute the earth list. fire wants Evoker's gear, ideally, followed by illusionist and arcanist, followed by disciple.
