So yeah. My new Nixi, she does some pretty cool magic tricks, like spontaniously developing a carried gene in a slot neither of her parents have a gene in?

If there's a less magic based explanation for those Spirit Flames.. i'm not seeing it?

The dad is untested and has been genetically mutated, I would guess that he carries it.

Ohhh. Doh! XD Thanks Ash. Seeing a mutated 2 vis I never even thought about the fact someone might actually mutate a pet that hasn't even been tested yet. ._.
I am rather sleepy atm, but I ran it by people in the chatroom trying to figure out what I was missing and no one else seemed to know what was with it either. XD
