I was going to collect gold from my till and saw this. What does it mean?

that's a bug, you should post it in the bug report forum to get it fix. I belive that the 'empy' picture is a kind of placeholder in case where the item link get broken or somthing like that. With the mega zone in working progress it is possible that some small bug like that ocure. ^-^
