Ok somy party sylesis were perfectly fine fit and healthy in fighting condition and then in enigmatic grotto comes this loose rock event (was it loose rock i have forgotten but it was loose something) and then i clicked the dig it up (or something along the lines of that) and then all of a sudden my party sylestis are unconcious.
Is there a simple explaination to this?

there was some kinda dynamite there and it exploded :P

It's a planned event in the storyline. It will knock out your main party poet right before the battle. So you will need to get the extra party slot in town, so you can start the battle, and best to have draughts/elixirs to revive your pet and get it battle-worthy.
