"Well if it ain't Old Malarkey! What's your poison today bud?" The bar tender asked leaning over the bar as the weather beaten man stumbled up to the bar. Honestly the man already looked hammered, drunk off his a** to say the least, if not a tad bit buzzed as well.
"Whiskey." The man belched before stammering over to a bar stool and attempted to take a seat. After failing multiple times he finally managed, seating a bit crooked as he tried to keep himself upright. The smell of cheap cigarettes and beer along with a bit of b.o and puke followed the man making the bar tender wrinkle his nose repulsivly.
"You really need to get clean Seb, how could the best cop this side of the river let himself drowned like this? In cheap booze and cigarettes? What would your wife say?" The bar tender asked handing the man a glass of water.
"Ex-wife." Seb corrected taking a drink of the water before looking at it funny. "I ain't a cop anymore."
"I know that." The bar tender huffed before picking up a glass to clean it. "How is she anyways? Your wife?" This seemed to make him rather upset being asked, though he answered it reluctantly.
"Haven't a clue, she hasn't talk to me since she kicked me out." Seb answered before laying his head down on the counter.
"I heard she made top of the police force." The tender continued as he cleaned despite the man already being asleep. "Even had a child a few years back, a little girl though she put it up for adoption." None of this the man heard as he slept off his drinks.

"Hey Seb! Hey! Wake up!" The bar tender said dumping a cup of water on the pathetic excuse of a man that lay on the floor of the bar bathroom. "Come on man, you've been in here all night. Get out so I can clean up the mess you made." Grumbling a bit Sebastian blinked away sleep, though it only made way for the massive hangover that seemed to always linger over him. Stretching a bit he scratched the back of his head.
"What day is it?" He grumbled as he stood, taking a moment to fish his wallet out of the toilet. Not again...he must have gotten hammered last night.
"Monday, now get out of my bathroom." The bar tender said rather crossly. Wrinkling his nose some Seb did as asked, drunkenly stumbling out of the bathroom with the tender in tow. Suddenly the phone rang, a sound that send needles of pain through his head.
"Bob's Bar." The bar tender answered in a huffy voice. "Yeah...alright. Hey you Mr. Malarkey?"
"Depends on who's asking." Seb answered before rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Every part of him hurt, no doubt the product of having too many drinks again.
"Phones for you." With that the phone exchanged hands.
"Listen if this is about my tab you can forget about it I'm not paying. I told you I don't have your money and you can deal with it."
"Mr. Malarkey? This is Mrs. Keller, I'm not calling about a tab. Honestly I don't know how to put this, I just heard that when anything goes wrong in the city people call you, but me and my husband need you help."
~*~
"How do I get myself dragged into these sorts of things?" The man huffed climbing the stairs to the rather old looking home. He put his hand up suddenly, as if it was alive.
"Because you need the money!" The hand 'said' in a rather childish tone.
"True but no one asked you." The man said back, clearly not all there in the head for the most part.
"Sure you did! You asked a question to the thin air like a crazy person, so I answered!"
"Shut up." With that he knocked on the door. With in moments the woman opened the door, dressed in a bright read dress.
"Mr. Malarkey?" She asked with a questioning look. Honestly the man looked like a homeless bum right of the street. His hair was untamed and unwashed, and his clothes were tattered not to mention a little ripe smelling.
"You better believe it." He stammered attempting to straighten his crooked tie.
"Come in then. My husband is in the living room. Please follow me." With that she led him to the room. There an middle aged man and familiar woman were sitting. The woman was dressed in a police uniform. No...it couldn't be...
"Fancy meeting you here Millie." Sebastian said looking at the woman for a moment. "How long has it been since I last saw you? Four years?"

"Seems about right," She nodded, pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose. "Still in that slump?"

"You better to believe it." He said sitting down next to Mrs. Keller. "So what's the deal? Why am I here?" The room fell silent for a moment before the man spoke.
"It's our daughter, she's missing. We heard that you two were the best for the case." Mr. Keller said with a sigh.
"Any idea who could have taken her if she was kidnapped?" Sebastian asked suddenly.
"Kidnapped?!" Mrs. Keller said shocked.

"If she was, Im not saying she has been." Sebastian said keeping mostly to his little place on the couch, which had a towel on it.
"I-I don't know...she was with her nanny last. Marilyn was acting a bit strange when the police interrogated her, maybe she knew something." Mr. Keller answered.

"When was the last time you talked to the nanny?" Sebastian asked looking to the woman and then to the man.
"The night Hazel went missing...I haven't been able to get a hold of her since." Mr. Keller said looking at pair. "Truth be told I'm a little worried about her.
"Don't worry sir, we we look into it." Sebastian said standing.
