It was a sunny afternoon, a cool breeze in the air as it traveled down the lines of the creek bed. It coursed across the rocky bed urging the water to try and beat it to the waterfall though nevertheless the wind won, as it unlike it counter part was light, and floated above all. As if ashamed of its defeat the water stopped, condensing in a small cool pool surrounding the small grassy heaven in its center, the sacred land it was not allow d to touch. Upon this sacred land sat a pile of clothes, and the man they belonged to. His skin was tanned ang covered in various scars that came from the fabrications of nightmares, and legends, not to mention bare for all to see. His trousers had been set aside as well as he lightly dipped his lower body into the cool summer water, allowing the slow moving water to cool his skin and wash away the blood that covered him. The blood was for the more part not his own, though a new gash upon his chest had contributed to it for the most part. Wincing some he sank farther into the water, sitting among the rocks as he did. The water turned red for a moment before cleaning to wound of and dirt and gore that may have needed it. Hunters...they had hunted him down again, though he had managed to fight them off well enough. It was only the last one that proved a handful when he hit Argo hard enough to make the animal stumble back in a daze. But flesh heals, bones mend in the long run they had won. With a light rustle of feathers the bird like animal joined him in the pool, laying his black and grey body in the water to wash away the blood covering his feathers. With a light sound he took to cleaning his feathers, running his beak through every one to make sure it was clean before using a taloned hand to clean the cut he had gotten upon his head. As the while he did this his master lay back, closing his eyes as he let the water soothe his aches and pains.
Stealing wasn't something that many saw good, though that only was in the case they saw you stealing. In the woods, there was no apparent boundaries, save for those given to animals, thus one could easily get out and in without much fuss, not that the rather abandoned home would prove on to cause fuss. The yard was overgrown, with vines growing through the burnt walls and weeds adorning the main walkway. Along the back of the home stood a variety of small bushes and the sorts, all heavy with berries. Among them stood a redheaded woman and a white spotted cat. "Come on Pax, you as well as anyone one know I prefer berries to anything." The woman said as she picked handfuls of the blueberries and placed them in the basket the cross sabercat held in his jaws. With the basket growing full she looked about them. "Oh how I wished for a few strawberries!" She giggled after a moment before petting the animal. "Come on then let's see what waits for us inside!"

Lei! Chun-Yan called, searching for the otter-like creature. She was splashing in the water happily, and gave him a smug grin

Tiredly the man opened his eyes for a moment, listening. Was that a voice he heard? If the water's embrace didn't feel as nice as it did he may have went to see, though at the moment it hurt too much to get up. So instead he sat listening to the voice. There was some words spoken closely, though a bit farther off as another voice, yet it as too faint to clearly make out what it said. Maybe they would both keep their distance.

Spirit walked through the trees, pulling her cloak tighter around her. She looked around for any signs of danger, and then rested her hand on Irai, who let out a soft whinny and turned his head to her. The Horned Horse's brilliant eyes swirled with shades of brown and greens, and showed an intelligence she had never before seen in that of a wild animal.

Chun laughed, and fell into the water. Now look what youve done! He said, trying not to giggle like a little kid

The woman froze in place at the sound of a horse. Really?! Of all the times the owners of the home wished to come back now? Taking a breath she silently drew her sword (changing her major to strict close combat). Pax set the basket he held down before dropping to a crouch waiting for the woman's lead. "Alright! One more move and the horse gets it!" She called out though she couldn't see who the person we yet. Better to make a safe getaway though when they are distracted.
