Six children, once a year. Each chosen to a different alignment. And a seventh, rare and needed, who bears the symbol of Arcane. In the Arcanum, there is a library, where the children are chosen. Massive walls, covered with ancient tomes in the seven languages. Each is presented with a book. When they are chosen, when they are told to open the book, they will be able to. Books are a sacred object to Lore Keepers. They swear to protect the powers within it.

But there are no longer Keepers being opened. The books write themselves, creating new magic , but nobody has been able to see what is within. The last to be chosen to Arcane was able to read a small piece that warned of devastation.
