So my husband and I will have been married for 11 years tomorrow and I would like to make a special generated pet tomorrow to celebrate it.

I want to use the colors white, navy blue, and silver (or gray, as it were) as those were our wedding colors in honor of his serving in the US Navy at the time of our marriage.

He works in energy production now, and was a reactor operator on a submarine in the Navy. I would like to make a pet themed around my husband, so if anyone has suggestions please let me know!

Also if I want those colors, do you think it's preferable for me to get the more expensive essences?

I have never generated a pet other than the very first one I made, so any tips are greatly appreciated!

Regular (blue) essences have a little bit of a "color swing", where there's a chance that a color you want might be a tinge off. There's a thread where people share their generated pets with color swings, but it's pretty old. QuQ if I have time, I'd find it. You can fix the color swings with pet dyes (where lesser dyes have less accuracy than a greater dye).

Enhanced (purple) essences have a much lesser chance of color swing, so the would be more accurate. Mystical (orange) essences are even less so, being the most expensive and most accurate option. They also have more genotype points to work with, so people with generated projects in mind usually start with enhanced or mystical for more genes/mutations.

If you're not very particular or picky with the colors you're trying to get, or have spare dyes, you can use regular essences.
Enhanced essences should be okay for your project though, and would probably be recommended. o:
If you really really are particular with colors, mystical would be good too, but the difference won't be so noticeable if you're not picky. ^^

Hope this helped!

edit: here's the thread for generator fails, mainly for regular essences, not so much enhanced!

I am super sad. I was so busy yesterday that I forgot to generate the pet :((

EDIT

This is the pet I designed. He likes the Ny'Venes a lot, and the lightning represents how he works in energy production. The Lucky Runes are because I am lucky to have him. Would have been awesome.
