I think it would be nice and handy to be able to sell pets by usernames. Now I know that it is not urgent but I have recently discovered the hassle of user ID's for real with my Advent Thread. It would be easier if I could just use the user name.
Another thing could also also help solve this is if the User ID was in the little user box
Under all the stuff, it would be helpful!

What happens when a user changes their name? That poses more problems. I don't mind the IDs at all.
Also when you hover over a link, for example someone's username linking to their profile, a small box comes up in the bottom-left of the window on Chrome for Mac. I think other browsers do this too.
If you look at the number on the end of the URL it is the user's ID.
That's usually what I do, but it would be easier for a lot of people to have the ID listed under the username in forums.

Ahh shoot I never noticed that until you pointed it out, thanks for that! And yes you could view it there but it would be easier for people to just copy and paste right there

This is a good suggestion for ease of finding the user ID, but it's also a good suggestion for people on mobile, since you can't use the hover trick on those devices.
