On a civilized island, Shell industries conducts its experiments. Unfortunately, a few of the beings escaped. When they came into contact with a random child (you) they possessed one of your organs, having it come out of your body as a separate entity, becoming a sort of strange monster creature, which can operate whatever function you lost outside of your body. If your monster dies, the body part you lost will be permanently removed from your body, and you might die
