I woke up all by my self. I was laying on the ground all alone and I was cold. My name is Gajen Dragonila, and I'm going to tell you my story (and my friend's stories). The first thing I remember seeing was my older brother Gruffen holding me in his arms. I remember his voice whispering it would be okay. I knew it wasn't because the look on his face was agonized. We were sitting in an old shack that looked like a little barn. I saw a strange lady appear straight through the door. She seemed to be made of water but I couldn't tell. She advanced toward us. I started getting scared. My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my throat. She said something about Gruffen killing our parents and *POOF*, they were gone. My head hit the floor and I yelped. "Gruffen?" I asked looking around but no one was in sight. That was when I saw a girl peeking her head in the door to the shack looking around. She looked about three years younger than me though I couldn't tell. "Hello?" she asked. Her voice gave it away that she was afraid but she she didn't look it. "Who are you?" I asked. She gasped and suddenly hid behind the door. I guess I wasn't very good with girls because of how she reacted. She regained her posture and stepped from behind the door like she was able to face anything that very second. She had shining blue eyes that looked like the ocean. Her blond hair was short and flying everywhere.
Her skin was pale but a little pink to. The second I saw her I fell in love. "My name is Gretel Hylia." she said like it was some name of a very famous person. "Where's you family?" I asked without even thinking. "I don't have one. They abandon me, and left me for dead." she said as her voice was cracking. Tears started streaming down her cheeks. I guess that wasn't the best question to ask. "It's okay he's a safe person. You can come in." Gretel said. I wondered who she was talking to. Another girl stepped in. She had black hair and piercing green eyes. She looked like she could kill anything just by looking at them. " I'm Galia and I'm eleven years old" she said. "Dang, you're a year younger than my brother." I said like it was a matter of factually. She held out her hands. Right where she held them a swirling red light got bigger and bigger." That's nice. But watch this." I said as I raised my hands. A wall of dirt came up water was swirling around me I was in an airball and fire was on my hands. "Whoa! If you can do all of that then maybe you can help us on our quest." said Gretel obviously stunned. "What quest?" I asked not sure if I wanted to do it yet. Gretel paused then took a deep breath. "Where trying to restore balance to the earth. Galia's angel was seduced by a Dark Spirit, turned evil and went wild. My dragon Aeralin somehow escaped and is causing complete chaos. Also the earth spirit Galen has gotten loose and has caused some, uh,... difficulties we can't fix right now without an army." "I accept your quest." I said with a deep breath not even knowing what in the world was going to happen.
