Appearance: His body is heavily tattooed with lines and dots which signal his unnatural appearance is like a gift though some people avoid him for it. The rims of the plates of his armor are black. The markings on his torso, arms and hands are a deep blood red. His eyes are red and his skin is very pale but I'm the right light it can look silver. His dark brown hair goes down about half ways down his back and is fairly spiky while one strand of hair covers his left eye. The plates of armor themselves are a light blue silver shade with blue markings on them. The jewels upon the armor are blood red. Under his hair are his slightly pointed ears courtesy of him being half elf but no one is sure what kind of elf he is. Her wears sabatons which has black metal on them with dark brown straps and the sabatons themselves are brown. He wears a cape that has a gold ombre that fades into black in the center then fades back into gold at the bottom. His body is extremely muscular and he is 7' 10". His chest plate is normal and it is just a regular blue silver color. It has a special collar that covers his neck due to the slight tattooes on his neck.
Weapon: He has a rapier katana hybrid sword. It's handle wrapped in black leather. The center of the blade is red and the outer rim is dark grey. The attachments that come with a rapier are gold. The sheath is engraved with red and the sheath itself is black.
Backstory: He grew up in a town where there was a mix of dark elves, elves and humans. He was abandoned as a baby. He was raised by a couple of humans. They realized something about him when he became older and they threw him out. He went to train to become a knight. He learned to keep his ears hidden but it was really no trouble once he became fully grown. He learned how to do simple spells by the people who had raised him so he became an asset to the king who took him in as a personal guard of his castle. He was recognized as the Silver knight for how his skin can look silver in certain light. No one is sure how he got this sheen to his skin but most are caught in awe by it. The king keeps him very close for Ren is very skilled with his weapon. He never strays far from home unless he is unwanted or it is a must.
Personality: He very rarely acts rude and impolite. He has been known though to go without sleeping for days on end until sleep consumes him. He only does that when needed but no one knows how he can go so long without sleeping. He has been known to sleep during the day and he awake during the night. People have tried to find out what he was. Most think he is a dark elf and a human but he is so like an elf as well. He is very intelligent and sometimes is called wise.

He sat leaned up against a tree. His skin looking silver in the moonlight. It was a blessing and a curse. He was frowned upon because of his unique appearance. He hid his body from the outside world. He rarely let someone see him take off his chest plate or any part of his armor.
He wasn't ashamed of the tattooes it was just they caused trouble. He touched his hilt and sighed. He should get going back because he knew he couldn't stay outside forever even though he loved the breeze that he felt. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
The breeze rustled his hair and he loved the feel of it. Just as much as he loved the cold howl of the wind as it went through the leaves of the trees. He ran a hand through his hair. He was tempted to just stay here in the forest. He opened his eyes. He needed to get his sleeping problem fixed. It was getting harder for him to work. He sat back down and thought he might be able to catch a bit of sleep out here. He then shook his head.
He got up and started heading back towards the castle through the village. Everyone was asleep and he only knew his way because he had walked this path so many times. He snuck out of the castle many times at night. He shouldn't but he did. He couldn't just pace around the castle... That would attract unwanted attention.
He had enough attention being by the king's side. He had better things to do than fight with aggravated citizens who thought some of the laws were unruly. He had better things to do than listen to a farmer complain about taxes. Life was life. He knew better than to question anything.

Name: Skul
Age: 20 years
Appearance: Skul is a stocky horse, standing a little over six feet at the shoulder on thick legs and heavy hooves. He appears to be a type of draft horse or Clydesdale, with longer hair trailing around his hooves. His primary pelt color is a very dark blue-gray. On his face, he has a white marking that resembles the anatomy of a horse skull, around his eyes and in his nostrils is black. On his rump, he has splotchy white markings much like an Appaloosa. His mane and tail are cut short, the mane more resembling a fluffy mohawk and his tail a bob. His bangs are white, while the rest of his mane is black. His entire tail is white, and the long fur around his hooves is also white. His eyes are a soft blue.
Garb: Skul often doesn't wear anything, unless he's geared for battle. Then he is covered head to toe in silvery, plated armor with only his ears, legs, and tail showing. Around his neck, he wears a red, velvety sash that holds his many medals of various golds and silvers.
History: Skul was trained from his youth to become a war horse, generations of powerful steeds in his blood. He carried many different soldiers and commanders into battle, bravely facing blade and beast and always carried the warriors back home without fail. But when peace finally settled over the land, Skul was sent out to pasture to live out his life in extreme boredom.
Personality: Skul is very brave and loyal, and won't back down in the face of danger. He is very tired of the calm, and can't wait for a reason to get out of the fence.
~~~~~~
Another day, another bunch of nothing.
Skul emerges from the barn, freshly brushed and belly full of feed. By now his caretaker is sound asleep in his bed. But unlike him, Skul can't manage to be still and rest.
As he crests one of the rolling hills in his pasture, Skul's gaze rises up to the stars. He often resorts to distracting himself by memorizing the shapes and patterns he sees. Some of the men he's carried would tell stories about the figures they saw above, and others used them to tell when certain seasons were due to arrive, or when to have their celebrations.
A cool breeze tickles his mane, and he shakes. Is this really what the rest of his nights are going to be like? He could have another decade of healthy life, at least. The thought of another ten years of staring at the sky, grazing in the mornings, and napping in the evenings, nearly caused him to snap. Instead, he kicks at the dirt, shaking the feelings off. No, humans are fickle and forgetful creatures. Someone will start a fight eventually, and he'll be there to carry another warrior into battle.. Was it so bad to actually wish for war?
Ren Kek could tell trouble was brewing but what it was was beyond even his senses. He had arrived back in his room and stretched. This was going to be rough. He had a feeling tomorrow was going to be important why he didn't know.
He closed his eyes and smiled vaguely. He took off his armor and laid down. He wished his horse hadn't been killed. Had it not then he might be riding out with it. They had loved going for a midnight ride. The moonlight had been so beautiful but now... Now his horse was gone. Died in the heat of battle.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He was exhausted to some extent so he might as well try to get what little sleep he could.
After a while longer of gazing at the stars, Skul drifted off to sleep standing on the hill.
He dreamed of his younger days, when he was fresh out of training. No amount of drills could prepare you for the chaos of battle. The deafening cannon fire, the cries of fear and fury from beast and man, the clashing of metal against metal all around. Even now, his heart races like the hoofbeats in his dream.
He abruptly was awoke to the sound of shouts of fear and the screams of terror. He got his armor on and he started to get worried. He grabbed his sword quickly. He had to hurry. Something wasn't right. The door opened and a knight was looking in. "We're being attacked!" The knight said hastily and Ren nodded. They hurried into the fray. He had to fight now.
Suddenly, Skul awakens to find the sounds from his dream weren't just in his head. His eyes widen when he notices a glow from beyond the hills, and hears the clashing sounds of battle.
A neigh bellows from his throat and he rears, his heart racing with the need to help. At first he gallops to the barn, repeating the neigh in hopes to get his caretaker's attention. His armor is mounted on a wooden horse near his stall, and he can't put it on by himself. But he has to get the armor on! He has to get out of the fence and join the battle!
But the caretaker doesn't respond. In fact, the house's windows are dark. The man and his family must have fled, warned of the battle. They just left him there!
Stomping a hoof, Skul turns and barrels across the pasture toward the high fence. He skids to a stop just before the heavy wooden bars and kicks up dirt, screaming his frustration and waving his mane and tail.
Ren Kek huffed in annoyance. He fought as best as he could but then he had to back up. He had to get away from here. It was dangerous here and he knew the king had to already be dead. He hurried out of the castle and wiped his forehead. He had to make it out alive! He had to... It was already too late for everyone else. They would fight for the kingdom but without the king, he had no reason to fight
