after spending over an hour trying to defeat occultists on the first round of the lord of nightmares event. it has occurred to me that many people love to sit back and go afk in the mega zone not helping out.

like this for example

i understand today is a holiday but it shouldn't take an hour to clear half the amount needed to finish the first round with over 40 users present. which makes me wonder. why not make it so that you can't reap the rewards for an event if you haven't help out at all and just gone afk for the parts you don't like. i understand some will be against this but it's not really fair to those who actually help out to summon the boss only for someone didn't contribute anything, and sat there afk to get to fight him

You only gain contribution points by actually participating.

As for the boss, mechanically, there's really no alternative way to make it work. I also don't think people should be punished if they couldn't make the first Round or 2 by not being able to battle the Boss. I generally try to avoid changes where the 'few' ruin it for the rest.
