Ok. I've tried reading everything that I could about it but the wording confuses me, so I decided to just ask here.

What does Vampire Dust do exactly?

When it says it adds a 'hidden carried trait' what does that mean? What makes a 'hidden' carried trait different from a regular carried trait? Does it replace the visible trait with a carried trait?

Hidden traits are a less dominant trait that is 'covered' or, well... 'hidden' by the more dominant trait- so where a trait slot that has a single N (nothing/ no vis) as the 'dominant' trait is a carried trait, Hidden traits are say, visible Raptor Stripes (A) on a nyte with a carried- and thus, 'hidden'- Mystic Feathers (G)

Let's just use this gene tested nyte as an example:

in the Advanced Search, her genes look like this:
Gene 1: (EG) Red Tailed Cockatoo
Gene 2: (NA) Shimmer Tips
Gene 3: (NN) Nothing
Mutation 1: (NN) Nothing
Mutation 2: (EE) Gallant Armor
Mutation 3: (NN) Nothing

Green = carried trait
blue = visible trait
purple = visible trait with hidden trait

so if you breed the pet, it's 50/50 which of the two gets passed down
