The story is based in a fictional city called Cyto, where humans and animals live in harmony. Humans value the bond they share with their pets and the wildlife around them.

Cyto is a small city next to a river deep in a forest. The people that live in Cyto know of no other human settlements. If a bond between a Cytoan (a human from Cyto) and an animal is strong enough, they can communicate telepathically.

Personality: Don is a rather intelligent animal and loves to watch the people to learn even more. He tries to lend a talon if need be, but he often finds it a bit too hard. So he keeps to himself. Likes: mice are his favorite food, he loves to fly around at night, he grooms a lot ((barn owls love to preen themselves; they even have a comb on one of their claws))
