Hello! This is an adoption thread I thought I would put up. I don't know if anyone else has this problem here but I get very attached to my first pets. People maybe don't want a buyer to alter their pets, because they feel attached to them. The problem is people who want to change the pets, and the fact the rules make it explicitly clear that we don't have control over the pets when we sell them.

That is, unless the buyer and seller agree to a specific contract.

If the buyer breaks that contract then they are considered scamming the seller, and so this thread has a contract for ALL pet sales and purchases that take place from this thread.

But first some rules about the use of this thread!

+Pet sales here are 1 coin. This is because they're an adoption, and not a sale (technically). They have to be "sold" because of the way the server is currently set (They're changing that, I think) but there shouldn't be an "adoption fee" because this thread isn't about making money, it's about taking care of the pets you are attached to but don't have a place for in your stables anymore.

+If you put up a pet here, DO NOT HAVE IT LISTED FOR SALE! Put the link to the profile FIRST, and if someone takes an interest in an adoption, then talk about it with the buyer in a private message. Otherwise anyone can take that pet and they won't even have to know about the rules and the contract that you intended, and the admins and the contract here cannot get your pet back!

+Be polite, and don't push someone to take your pet or give you theirs. This is an ADOPTION thread to make sure pets that we are attached to are taken care of. If you push a buyer/seller into buying/selling it defeats the purpose.

+It's a good idea to find a safe place to write down your pet's ID. That way you can actually keep track of your pet and make sure the contract is followed. It is your own responsibility to track your pets and make sure the contract is followed, sellers! As for buyers, if you break the contract the original owner CAN be watching and it is in their full right to as stated here!

+Pets adopted cannot be changed; this is including color, gender, traits, mutating or dying without consent of the original owner.
+Pets adopted cannot be released without the consent of the original owner.
+Pets adopted can have their element and points changed without the consent of the original owner unless the original owner said not to in the post concerning the adoption.
+Pets adopted cannot be sold to another user without the consent of the original owner.
+Pets can be put up for adoption here again without consent of the original owner but the rules that applied in the first adoption will still apply to any subsequent readoptions unless the original owner explicitly says that it may be changed.
+Pets adopted cannot be renamed without the consent of the original owner.
+The original owner may request changes to the contract for their adoption specifically, but unless stated by the original owner the contract listed here is to be followed.
+Buyers may not insist on changing the rules of an adoption, this will be considered breaking the rules and harassment! This thread is for us sentimental folks who can't let go of our pets and I will not allow someone to be forced to change how they want their pet to be treated. If someone is found doing this then they are not allowed to adopt that pet anymore.
+Buyers may SUGGEST and ASK for the rules for their adoption to be changed, but something like "If I can't do {X} then the deal's OFF!" is against the rules in this thread. Private messages can be posted as evidence of breaking the contract, and an admin CAN be called in to be sure that the original owner is not lying about the harassment.
