Example 1
Example 2

Pet stats in the new zone seem to be off; battle stats seem to be going in as normal stats (I think?)

I noticed it because I was extremely upset because... well, Take my Jasmine. She's a level 55 lighira, a pretty fabled pet, with no proficiencies used, and no stat points dealt. So its as basic and stripped down as it gets. Her strongest stat at that point is strength, which is 70.

Now take this pretty Lunemara. Little Moth-boy is level 52, pretty close to Jasmine. A regular species, non fabled, though kind of pretty. Same deal- no proficiencies used. No stat points dealt. Neither is wearing armor. Totally stripped down. His strongest stat is also strength. Now, he should be slightly less than Jasmine, since she's fabled, he's not; and he's a few levels under her. Or at the very least they should be close in stats, if he's a powerful moth boy and she's a weak lioness. Could happen that way, right? But his base strength is 218, almost triple what hers is.

Somehow, I'm pretty sure that's not how its supposed to work?

@Cranberry,

I'll start by saying that the stat system for wild pets is not very well coded atm. I haven't gone through to improve it yet because in a very shortwhile I will be completely redoing stats so all of that work would be wasted.

When stats are redone, they will make much more sense and be more consistent.

Now, for the current system, I'm pretty sure that for wild pets you encounter in the wild it just finds random base stats no matter what species they are. I believe it's something like a random number between 10 and 15 for each stat. However, that does not determine it's "battle" stats. Those stats are entirely different and computed based on the mob's difficulty.

When you scan a Sylesti currently, it just displays its "battle" stats for both the base and for the battle.

So, atm, it's just not a very good system which is why I want to completely redesign it. As soon as we get all 3 regions into the new system and redesign our tutorial, I will be completely redesigning the stat and proficiency system (and all systems that rely on those). When that's done, a lot of stuff should work much better, make more sense, and be more consistent.

no- I feel like I must not be explaining this well.
the Lighira, at rest and outside of battle, despite being higher level and fabled, has 1/3 of the stats of a Lunemara.
With no stat points added, no proficiencies, no armor, everything equal. Please look at the links of Jasmine and the Moth-boy. You'll see it.

Everything in the new zone has crazy HUGE stats. Those battle stats are staying when you capture the pet. Or are they supposed to? Is the lunemara supposed to be 3 times as strong as every other pet after you've captured it?

Its not just the lunemara, everything captured in the new zone is that way, I'm just using them as examples because that's what I have.

I understand you're going to do a total rehaul, but... it feels like every other battle pet is worthless in face of these new megastatted pets.

This should now be 100% fully resolved.

The bug should no longer occur and all broken pets should be fixed.
