How do you go through the hay? There are some treasure chests that are completely blocked off. Am i missing something?

You can't go through the hay. It's like a maze. @Tori made some maps, if you'd like to see.

Take the southern entrance to the maze, and then follow the southernmost path. Right before you get to the eastern fence there is a path north. Follow that all the way up, and you can go through the hay bale to your left to get the blocked off treasure there. Go back the way you came and then follow the fence along the side of the maze. The third space up you can move to the right going through the fence. This will take you to the blocked off part of the north part of the maze. You can go through the first two parts of the fence dividing the maze in half, to get to that blocked off chest.
