Long ago in a time once forgotten, a lone prophet delivered a shocking prophecy....

One of Darkness, One of Light...
Born to end the fight...
The world will suffer an endless blight,
Unless the rulers' forsaken foe...

It has now been a hundred years since the prophecy, and now the fateful day has come...

Alone ny'vene ran, her scales glinting ebony in the light of the 5 full moons. She ran, ran, ran till her legs cramped and her feet bled. 2 eggs rested in a bed of moss, a glassy black egg next to a pearly white egg. The ny'vene sighed in relief, her eggs were safe.
A victorious shout made her jump, a male lupora with gold markings and teal eyes growled at the head of a pack. "The prophecy eggs are ours." he flicked his grey tail and a swarm of luporas surrounded her, biting flesh and tearing wings. When they pulled back the female ny'vene was nearly torn to shreds, dark blood oozed out of her mouth as she spoke, "Curse be woe on the hatching night, your own children die in the blight." the lupora tensed and growled, "Shut up you old witch."

5 days later...

~Chapter One: Fatal Flaws, Furious Claws~ [Unfinished]

Ukumi yawned and stretched, the two-day-old was still not used to her wobbly legs. She blinked, her pearl white fur glinted in the pale moonlight. Her brother, Rysaro, was curled up in the corner growling in his sleep. Ukumi rolled her pure white eyes and trotted out of the cave unchallenged by the lupora's around her. Her brother stirred and raised his head. "Adventuring again?" He said haughtily narrowing his blackened eyes. Ukumi froze in her tracks, slowly she walked of ignoring her nest mate as he stirred and followed her from a distance.
