Right now none of my sylesties are on missions. I went to the Town Barracks in Esior's Haven and tried to send them on missions and I got a pop up saying that I can't send pets on missions when I'm in battle, but I didn't have any other tabs open where I was battling anything. Also my mission limit is maxed.

Try to travel to any zone. It will redirect you to the battle you are currently in.
You will then have to finish the battle.
