So I hatched this ny'vene a while ago and just noticed it has Demonic Essence and Essence of Flames, which neither of the parents have visible or carried. Just wandering if someone can explain this. And I checked the URL incase of hidden traits and I didn't find any. Do grandparent sylesties play a role with genes and mutations? What I don't understand is that both parent have visible Frozen Horns and the offspring doesn't and instead has Essence of Flames???

Neither of the parents has been gene tested, thus they do not show either their carried of hidden traits in their genetics section, the advanced search, or their image urls. This does not change what they actually are, though.

Eyeballing the lineages of the parents, I'd suggest that:
- the father has M2: DI (frozen horns from father, battle helm from mother)
- the mother has M2: DF (frozen horns from father, carried, inherited from HIS father, and F from mother, as a hidden trait that SHE got from her mother)
(meaning that the offspring is FI genotype)

The M3, I'd suggest that it's a lineage of carries:
- the father inheriting carried demonic essence from his father as NC
- the mother having inherited demonic essence carry from her grandmother (vis demonic essence) via her father (who must be BC genotype: vis Essence of Wind, hidden demonic essence)
(making your offspring CC genotype.)

Summary:
Offspring M2 is FI, M3 is CC
Mother M2 is DI, M3 is NC
Father M2 is DF, M3 is NC
