So I've been looking all over site with a fruitless results on trying to figure out how to unlock that third party slot for your questing sylesti, the ones that you take on missions with you.
Anyone know, is it something i unlock through normal questing or an upgrade i must purchase through on site curacy.

You're able to purchase the third party slot in the second zone somewhere. Pretty much just keep progressing the story line and eventually you'll get the option in the next town. It'll cost 25k for the party expansion, but it's worth it.
