That's probably because most of us are people who have finished with the current storyline, which kinda requires level-60 pets at the end of Astryl's Vale, and since the highest-level pet you've leveled gives you its same level, most of us are level 60 players.
So it's mostly just a measure of how long you've been an active member of Sylestia, and there's quite a few of us lol.
