Not only the bird names are weird.
Have you heard of Grand Teton, which is a mountain and a national park in the US?
Well, Grand Teton litteraly means "big nipple" in French. I've been there, and our American friends didn't understand at first why my father, my brother and I were laughing so hard about the name. (Advice: never go with a Grand Teton national park shirt in French, you would be terribly mocked...).

I think we are now definitely off topic x). So just to go back on the topic of the thread, I really like your Loki Morkko, Nafariaandulin.

I remember when we went to Arizona on an out of the country trip. The place was called Hell Arizona, so the first thing I did was grab a card that said, "Greetings from Hell," and sent it to my sister.

I find that name very cool! I would have done the same!
(so, next time sometimes tell us to go to hell, we can answer "You mean in Arizona?")

I went to a little town in France, for a traineeship. It was in the countryside, really in the middle of nowhere... The town next to it was called Void. so the last sign we saw before arriving to this town indicated at left "insert the name of the town I was going to" (I don't want to say it since it's so small someone may recognize me if I say it), and at right: VOID.
It was one of only time I've posted a snapshat to my Friends x).(my English Friends... It doesn't mean anything in French, fortunately for the people of this town)

Yes for Smaug!!!!

You made me remember that I did one for Smaug some time ago too (half inspired by the movie, half by the books and illustrations...)
