any advice for helping with sunburns... I am desperate... halp...

Hmm..oddly enough, dabbing the sunburn with apple cider vinegar (the real stuff, not the "flavored")
seems to help.

I think aloe vera gel is useful too. Here are a couple of sites to help you on that:

im gussing your burnt up xD i know you pain i went kayaking for 6hours on a super hot sunny day
but my faimly uses a spray called 'equates anti-itch continuous spray' witch helps with
insect bites
stops pain/inching
rashes
poison ivy/oak
burns (sun burn, other burns)

use aloe vera leaves, fresh. i had peeling shoulders in 2016 so i used it on that. it works miracles. i recommend having a plant in the house. if that doesn't work Sudocream is really good.
