So this has happened to me a few times, once with a Lighira I sold and again with a Nytekrie I still have. With both of them, I've been getting mysterious clicks from literally nowhere. I posted the Lighira in a nurture thread once, but didn't bother with the Nytekrie, seeing as how she showed nothing and was practically useless. But from the time they were both eggs, they've been getting TONS of clicks.
I can't link you to the Lighira because she was sold, but I still have the Nyte.
Here is her brother by comparison.
They're both the same age. The boy has 9 clicks so far with only 5 profile views, which is average, but the girl has 14 profile views and - wait for it - 213 CLICKS. And it's still going.
So I ask you: what in the world is going on? Are there ghosts haunting the hatcheries? And can it continue? Because dang, those stats are skyrocketing. * w*
If anyone else has had this happen, post the pets here. I'm curious as to how many times this has happened.
I just went through my nursery to check out my pets. Most of them get a few clicks (because I'm at terrible parent and don't love on anything except my ny'venes) but I noticed some random ones getting 10 times as much as I would expect, and even some adolescents in the middle of all my hatchlings.
I have a strong feeling that this is a glitch, this is approaching the amount of nurturing of the 3 original ny'vene, and those got an absurd amount of clicks.
This definitely needs to be reported in the bug forum.

Pretty sure there isn't a bug or glitch causing it. All pets are treated equal. If it was bugged for one it'd be bugged for all.
Most likely, since nurturing is ordered a set way (by pet id I believe) for everyone... these pets are fortunately just being at the top of the list. Thus, when any user begins to nurture and nurtures a few pages, they happen to see those same pets.
That's just my assumption.
It's not the best way to handle nurturing but it works for now until I can find a better method. Randomizing the results was very server intensive so I had to resort to a set order.

It appears that that's exactly it. I just went to go check nurturing pets of just the first page of pets the hatchlings all had 100-300 clicks and the eggs were all near 100.
Of course I definitely remember those awful laggy times when everyone was nurturing and the site just died, so a few super babies is certainly better than an offline site.

That's what I was thinking, too, but that doesn't explain pets that are one after the other, ID wise, and one has average clicks while the other ends up with a large amount. D: Whenever I'm nurturing eggs, it DOES tend to go from lowest to highest, but they're still mixed up a little bit. It's very odd, indeed.
I'm not complaining, though. I just wish the clicks were on hatchlings I WANT to get clicked. XD

I found something similar going on with my egg: http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=194345
This is one egg in the middle of a batch of egglings i hav. This one has 2 views and 10 nurtures, 2 of those nurtures belong 2 me... the others in this batch hav an average amount of 2-3 nurtures. What gets me is this one wasn't the first born, nor the last born of its batch.

my hatchery now looks funny XD i got almost a row and a half of hatchlings, then obviously almost a full row of egglings, which is where the egglings should all be, suddenly I got a hatchling just sitting at the end of that first row. Then more eggs.
