I don't know how difficult this would be so if its a headache to do just toss the idea. But I was wondering if it would be possible to add an Opalescent or Iridescent effect to colors. You could add it to the Accent slot and I personally wouldn't object to it being the cost of a gene or mute.

Could you explain a bit more? Would this add more of a "shiny" effect to the pet, or variegation, or something else?
I think it sounds like an interesting idea, but I'd like to know more.

Ok like an abalone shell
or like oil on top of water.
A rainbow<y> effect giving off hits of color. A "Shiney" affect could also be in effect if someone did a white opalescence.
