So I know I need a high agility, a high intelligence, high dexterity, and a high strength to open the orbs
So I used my max stat aaaaannnddd.... NOTHING! Couldn't even open the first seal! He has the highest stats of my whole party!
So how high dose the stats have to be and *Cough* Could I possibly Barrow you pet(s)?

I think people have talked about a lot of the tough stuff about this zone in this thread - be aware that it's almost entirely spoilers though :)
From what I remember, the minimum you need is 200 points in the stat - and gear doesn't count. So the pet's proficiency points will have to be used. What I did was put my mission pet in my party when I got to the seal, and switch back after it opened. (I think. It's been a long time for me, lol.)

Usually you'll have to use pets with all their stats in the one stat required.
Also, according to the intro text, you won't be able to see if your pet activated the seal until you've reached the last seal, and then only if all your pets managed to activate the seal.
