I just caught a Starscape zolnixi, but now that I've looked through my Stables and hatchery it is nowhere to be seen. I know I caught it because I lowered it down as low as possible, targeted it with my standard snare trap, and set both of my pets to skip turn.

When you try to trap a pet, three things can happen
1. The trap fails, the pet remains, you can try to trap the pet again.
2. The trap fails, scared, the pet runs away. The battle ends, you've defeated 0 enemies, and gained 0 pets.
3. The trap succeeds, and the pet is added to your stables. There will be a link to the pet in your battle/exploration log.
So keep an eye out for the pet link, that's how you know you caught a pet, if you click too fast and miss the battle summary.
