umm, the person said that you have to defeat the boss of the egg hunt after you collect all the eggs, but when i collected all of them, i was out of the maze. is the boss just for the mythic egg hunt?

No there is a boss, you just have to find them in the temples.

There is a boss in one of the four temples for both type of egg hunts, but you'll need to find the key, and then find the right temple.
You probably ran out of steps that time. Only if you've defeated the boss and find 20 eggs, do you get "kicked out" of the maze without using all your steps.
