Recently, my internet started acting up and so I didn't get on Sylestia for about half a month. When I got back on, I discovered a whole page of pings.

Now, I do like being pinged when a game is about to start, but having a whole page to click through, not knowing what's still valid and what's not, is a bit of a pain.

I'd suggest a slight change to the subject bar, perhaps something like, (Kiradon/Fiona) pinged you about (game/update/etc.). That way, users who had taken a break don't have to go digging through a mass of pings to find what's still in effect, and what's not.

Well technically the old pings shouldn't really matter anyway if you've been gone for so long since it's probably old and not useful anyway. So deleting them would just be what I would do.

But at the same time this is a good suggestion.

When I get a chance to improve the Forums, I think I will make pings separate from PMs. They will instead light up the Forums button and when you visit the forums they will be visible at the top of the page. Visiting the pinged message or simply acknowledging the ping will make it go away.

That way, they don't clutter up a player's inbox and are more tied to the Forums.

THAT would be awesome!
