Blackplague's prophecy:

A light in the darkest night
Has started a most treacherous fight

Scorpion's wingbeats were the only sound to be heard, if anyone happened to be listening to him. He glanced up at the mist rippling over the three moons and many stars. It looked like a reflection. Like a surface of a river. A river where Scorpion was the fish and Flare was the SeaWing. Flare was not a SeaWing, though. And Scorpion was not a fish, however many times he wished to grow gills and swim away. He would always be an ungrateful, boring (but charming) SandWing. How great.

Flare's voice echoed in his head. "Meet me on the brightest night," She had commanded. "Meet me on the brightest night OR ELSE." He'd asked or else what, and she'd practically scorched his talons off with her abnormally hot flames. They were still blackened and tender. She had spat him the place and soared away. Peace cliff, of all places, and the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, of all times!
