A loud bang came from behind you and few Sylesti, the sound came from a magic bomb, it destroyed a huge part of the village, not only that but more were coming, and fast.
Some of the other Sylesti were saying that there were caves not far from there, and that they could hide in them. You and the other Sylesti followed, quickly, not that you had much of a choice.
Luckily, you made it to the caves just before more bombs hit, I guess all you can do now is wait...
The Next Day...
The only thing left behind from the bombings was a wasteland and hundreds of corpses
one of the other Sylesti spoke up
"Well, I guess we will have to work together if we want to Survive"

Minks was always alone... that was before the bombings. She never had any family, and what friends she did have were thieves and delinquents.. now they are gone too. Though from the outside she is still smiling, inside she is shattered... to the point the smile she wears is all she has left to call hers, But as she glances around the cave her optimistic mind can only see new possibilities.
Minks emerged from the cave behind the others shaking her fur out removing the dust. Her bright blue eyes looking happy and out of place against her soot stained fur, and made her whole being seem like the brightest thing in the rubble. Her bright blue eyes landed on the tattered Lupora in front of the small group and though he seemed completely capable of leading the others she couldn't help but open her mouth with a suggestion. " Aye! I think searching any rubble left would be a good place to start don't you?" She piped leaping onto a scorched rock her face still bright and happy as she looked down at the leader like a youngster would to a teacher when they got an answer right.

The Lupora turned to Minks "Well, I don't think that i'm one to uh, make those choices, i'm not really a leader, why don't you ask the Captain over there, after all i'm just a weak soldier who can't do any good" He suggested pointing to a Vulynx who was still in the cave
The Vulynx was talking to some of the others who were in the cave

Vanessa stepped cautiously out of the cave, her eyes pointed towards the floor. The faint talking of other sylestis blocked out from her mind as she focused on her feet. A slight feeling of disbelief rose inside of her. Everything's gone... Her eyes wandered to the wasteland before her, it's charred ground, such a devastating attack, how could anything good come from this. Then her mind focused on the talking, "Search the rubble huh? I don't want to see that... I don't want to see the bodies." She whispered to herself.

Courtney kept a great distance from the other sylesti. She didn't feel comfortable being by them, but she listened to them talk. She overheard a sylesti called Minks suggesting that they search the rubble.
"Search the rubble..." she said to herself, "I'd rather not..."

Vanessa's eyes wandered the crowds, she wanted to see a familiar face. Someone to tell her it was alright and everything would turn out fine but no one stuck. She had no idea who any of these people were. She felt more alone then ever before. Slowly backing away she found herself in a corner, where she lay down and waited until someone had decided to do something.

Courtney's eyes filled with tears. She didn't love her family, that was for sure, but she still felt sadness.
They hadn't always gotten along, but in the rare incidents when they did... She loved her parents. But now they were gone... Dead.
"M-mom.... D-dad..." she sobbed quietly. "I'm sorry... I couldn't save... you..."

Vanessa closed her eyes and sighed quietly, her pain was flooding through her mind. Why did they have to die? Why did they leave her? Silently, tears ran down her cheeks, she missed her family. Rubbing her face furiously, she shook her head. "Don't be such a wimp!" She hissed to herself, "If you're going to survive, you need to be strong!"

Courtney looked up and peered through the haze of her grief. Her eyes met briefly with a tan puffadore, but she quickly looked away.

Biting the inside of her mouth, Vanessa looked away from the zolnixi. She didn't want to associate with anyone, she just wanted to lie here and avoid them. Digging her paw in the ground, Vanessa carved out a broken heart in the ground. She scoffed quietly and scraped it out.
