Lightningstar shook the water from her pelt, but as rain began pouring down she sighed as she began to get even weter. "Come on Stormpelt, we need to find shelter!" She yowled above the roaring of the river.
Stormclan cats had always been adaptable. They could swim, climb, run, although some were better than others. But they all were strong no matter what happened, and that is what made them stand out. Lightningstar remembered the life her leader had given her. To adapt to any change, and to help her clanmates do the same. She doubted she would have gotten this far without it.
A leaf blew in her face, snapping her out of the memories.

Blackfire had always been okay with the rain. He didn't love it, but he didn't hate it either. The Clan cats didn't like the rain, and would retreat into their nests, giving Blackfire time to hunt in their territory. The rain would wash his scent away... It was like he was never there.

(So sorry I couldn't get on, I had to wait until I got out of school! ^^')

Stormpelt ran through the forest, right behind Lightningstar's heels. She could hear her yowl over the rain and yowled back:
"Right behind you, Lightningstar!!"
Leaves crashed against her muzzle as she ran but she kept going. She bounded over a fallen tree, crashed through a huge puddle. She remembered when she was just a kit and there was a huge storm. She was born that day, right in the middle of the worst storm yet. That's how she got her name. When the earthquake happened, her mother fell into the hole. All her clanmates did except Lightningstar. That was still fresh in her mind, the face of terror on her mother's face as she plummeted into the never ending hole. A branch of a tree woke her from her memories. As she kept running, she spotted a pretty big bush that looked like it could withstand the rain for a while.
"How about over there!" she yowled. She angled her ears and pointed her tail at the bush she saw.

Lightningstar nodded. She loved rain. It was cool and refreshing after taking care of your clan. But she was tired after the long journey, and all it did now was weight down her pelt and make her shiver. Not to mention she had just gotten out of the river.
She sniffed the bushes quickly before batting at the leaves to shake off the rain. "Let's go in." She said, nudging the young warrior. "Good job."

Stormpelts eyes glowed at the praise and headed in the bush. It revealed this hollow. It was sandy on the ground -now it was darker and wetter dude to the rain-

Lightningstar shook the rain from her fur before a dryer spot and lay down, letting out a sigh. She flicked her tail, signaling Stormpelt to lay next to her. "After the rain leaves we'll go hunting." She said.

Stormpelt laid down next to Lightningstar, seeing her signal.
"Okay, i'm always in the mood to sharpen my skills while-" she cut off, almost saying clan. "feeding ourselves." she quickly said. She looked around the hollow, looking all around, examining all the bushes and walls.
"This looks like a good place to live, don't you think? Do you think it's a good place to well rebuild our...." she left off, not wanting to upset Lightningstar.

Lightningstar smiled. "It's ok. I have been thinking about them a lot recently. Memories keep them alive." She licked her paw quickly. "It's a nice place," She agreed, changing the subject, "but it doesn't have the best defenses. Plus it's too easy to stumble across. However it was a good idea. The best place we've seen yet."

(They are in the cluster of trees above Sparrow tree by the way. Next to the river.)

"Well. If we do find more cats, we could try and make this a better camp." she said thoughtfully. She got up, the kitten inside of her giving her the energy of a kit, and went over to the nearest root. It was an older root, so she gripped it in her jaws, pulled, and ripped it out of the ground. She spat it into the nearest bush.
"One less root to trip on!" she said cheerfully. She looked at Lightningstar, waiting for her reply. Her tail was waving back in fourth.
"See, if we had more cats we could make this into a new camp, although it won't be as good as the first one.." she said, her voice turning from happiness to sadness.
