I think we should have another shop to spend AP since its so easy to get and the wardrobe is the only place to spend it.

Agreed! I've spent so much AP on wardrobe items I'll never use.. just because there was nothing else to do with it. I have almost every wardrobe item unlocked.
There is a new option to use AP to increase your Generator save slots but that isn't really something I need or will use.
I think it'd be great to have more options.. maybe AP prices for items in the Scale Shop.. or a way to convert AP to Scales. I'm not sure how that'd effect the economy though.

I'm pretty sure this topic has been mentioned in the suggestion forum a multiple times already, though I still would like to say that I support this idea. a lot.
I've unlocked every single wardrobe item which can be bought with AP, and I've added all the design slots (though I probably won't have that many designs ever), and I still have almost 200k AP left. I have literally nowhere to put those now...
I don't demand to create anything new that AP would be used for, of course; but it could be used for something that we already have, like Scale Shop, or feeding/healing pets, or just exchanging those points for gold - I don't mind even 1:1 ratio, it's the fact that I have some currency I can't use that bugs me.

@Lokiarti
I've been wondering, how do some people end up with so much AP?
For me personally, I have 40k AP on me. And I think I've bought about 20k AP worth of items in the wardrobe. So about 60k total (including spent) since I created my account back in Jan. 2013. xD

breeding mostly, I suppose; also nurturing and battling. you probably know that I do quite a lot of nurturing ;D I also used to breed pets way too much. ah, you know all that already, sorry. it's just that there's no secrets or something. I just play all day. sometimes all night as well. that's not healthy and I wouldn't recommend this as a way to gain AP fast, though. ^^'

@Lokiarti
As someone who never nurtures, 2,000 of my 2,722 total scales earned were from advent calendar, I had to triple check your scales earned on your profile
"Scales Earned: 3,411,243"
to see if I was misreading the number by a factor of 10...Looks like nurturing may be the ticket due to how quickly it can go by o:

And aw, make sure to take care of yourself >_< But at the same time, I suppose if it's fun to play all day&night, it's time well spent. :3 (I know I don't have the stamina to attempt regardless, I fall asleep whether I want to or not ahah)

I'm not proud of this number. it literally says "I have no friends, no job, no social life; all I do is spend the time in front of my computer watching Dr.Who and clicking eggs and hatchlings; it creates the illusion of being productive which I am not". TwT shame on me. but at least, I have some LPDs to sell. now excuse me while I go cry in the corner. while clicking eggs. :D

There will be a lot of expanding on AP and Scales (and even nurturing) for when we relaunch.
