What is AP and if it is some kind of currency where can i use it?

AP is basically advancement points, that you can earn from basically playing the game. So exploring/battling, doing missions, nurturing, can all give you AP.
you can use AP to buy certain clothes and avatar styles from the wardrobe. Other than that, there;s not much things you can use them for. If you've accumulated 10k AP, you can hire a stablehand to feed the pets in your stables for a discounted price. It won't deduct your AP, but you'll need to have reach that at some point, then you can hire the stablehand.
(you can hire a stablehand by clicking your avatar face at your stable stage)
