In order to keep the game fair and balanced for all players, especially new ones, there is now a level check when you attempt to add a pet to your party.

You can not add a pet to your party that is higher level than the highest level pet you have originally owned.

This is to keep new players from purchasing (or borrowing) other player's high level pets in order to beat difficult encounters.

Good idea! I like this new feature.

I agree, that is a nice feature people should have to work and bond with their pets through the quest not merely loaning ones to advance and discarding their own to second seat.

Just to elaborate, we will revisit this in the near future with a more solid system.

This was basically a 'hot fix' for an issue we saw coming to light - especially as the level cap is about to increase.

Good to know you'll be tinkering with it! <333 Just ran into a rather irritating issue trying to add a party member. It said she's too high a level for me to control...because she is one level higher than my starter character, at 52 vs 51. XD I am amused.
