The world has lost all colors. The only two that still remain are Black and White. Sylesti that do have colors are rarer than you finding diamonds in a pig trough, and if they do have colors it's often only one and never more. Sylesti with colors are trapped and often killed in the process of getting the color that they possess. Sylesti without colors are killers trained to attack and capture anything with color.

Uja slept in her burrow, curled up on a clump of blankets.

Kara trotted lightly through the woods, on patrol for Colored Sylesti. Catching a scent of bulbori, she followed it until she lost it in a clump of trees.

The shadows seemed to cry for her. She closed her eyes and thought why have my parents left me? Am I not important? Her name was Shade but she called herself Shadow for the sake of her new lifestyle. She slept during the day and came out at night.

The only color for miles, why did he have to be the one with the only color? Seemingly now he stuck out among the reeds as an outsider, forced to hide the color that covered his stomach. For years he had searched for another like him, for someone that he could watch after that too shared a color like his own. Sadly though his searches had ended in vain as he was still alone. The bear like animal lefted his head from where he had been sniffing the ground. For days he had been following the scent trail of this animal. He wasn't sure what it was though it smelled to be male. What ever it was left behind a colored bit. That meant it was much like him, though if it was the same species was hard to tell. All the colors seemed to blend now, making foot prints hard to see anymore. The cloak around his body did well to hide the color on him, and even to blend him in with the background though it still did little to hide the fact that his eyes were a blood red, a very useful color in society. Many had come to kill him though he managed to get away all the same, many of times having to kill his hunters. Now though it seemed he was the hunter tracking down his prey. The smell grew strong yet, was it a vulynx? Yes it was. A male vulnyx, how strange.

Shadow blended in with the shadows who she said were her only friends. She snuck back deeper into the forest. She knew that there were hunters after sylesti like her. She needed to stay safe.

Korak rested his head on his paws as he surveyed the forest around him. From his perch in the tree, he could see much of the forest.

Kara frowned as she couldn't pick up the trail, and then came to rest at a small clearing. She rolled over on her belly, looking up at the grey sky. She wondered, how had it once been completely blue?

Korak moved slightly more back into the leaves, not wanting to be spotted by a trapper. A bug crawled on his foot, and he hissed in surprise, making the tree branch shake. He cursed himself and stayed still, hoping not to be noticed.

Shadow sent a warning call out then slipped away from the spot she had been. She knew something was out there. She could almost sense it but it was more knowing. She continued on until she found a place to hide.
