How Long does it take for an egg to become an adult? all I know is that it takes three days for an egg to become a hatchling.

A zero-hour egg will become an adult in roughly 27 days
(3 days as egg, 8 as a hatchling, 16 as an adolescent... might be a bit wrong in specifics of those, but the total time is the same anyhow)
This varies depending on:
a) if it is a found egg, it might not start at 0 hours, unlike bred eggs
b) certain amounts of nurturing can decrease time
c) if a magical pie is used
