I need to plant seeds, it seems, but there's nothing to go by to tell me where to go to do this?

@Sangfleur,

Lol, that is just the description of the mission.

All you have to do is select a pet and send it on the mission. After the set duration, your pet returns and you can complete the mission via Explore -> Missions.

Okay, well thanks.

How do I send a pet on a mission? Like is it as soon as I accept? If so, I wish I had been aware of that earlier, because I cancelled.

Yes, when you accept the mission with the selected pet, it's automatically sent on the mission.
