Hey there! It's not too hard to post an image once you've done it a couple of times, but it can be confusing at first. The first thing you need is the image url. Once you have that you can open up your post and paste the url. Highlight it, then click the button at the top of the post that says "IMG". Don't confuse this with the one that says "IMG=". The second one is for making a clickable picture, the first is for just a plain picture. If you're a little more used to putting in your own tags, you just need to put [*img]image url goes here[*/img] (minus the *s) and you'll have your picture when you post ^.^

I am doing it like that but it doesn't seem to work

your link is not an image. :3 an image link usually would end with .jpg/.png/.gif, since it's an image file extension. you're trying to link a site page instead, that's why it's not working.
compare those links:

2) http://i.imgur.com/VnEF7RR.png
first is a site page; should go with [url] tag only. second is an image file; can be used with both [url] and [img] tags.
